# Quickstart

> Copy one line into your agent.

Paste this into Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenClaw:

```text theme={null}
set up https://crowdlisten.com/SKILL.md
```

Your agent reads the setup instructions for its own client, opens browser sign-in, and checks your connection. Local setup requires **Node.js 22 or newer**.

Prefer to configure it yourself? See [setup for each agent](/docs/setup/agents).

## Verify the connection

After setup, restart the agent session if prompted. Ask:

```text theme={null}
Check my CrowdListen connection and list my workspaces. Do not start research or paid work.
```

A working connection exposes `recall`, `analyze`, and `ingest`. The agent should verify your signed-in identity and authorized workspaces using these free reads:

```js theme={null}
recall({ mode: "connection" })
recall({ mode: "workspaces" })
```

<Note>
  Copying setup instructions or signing into the website does not establish a persistent agent connection. The checks must run from your agent.
</Note>

## Give your expert a task

[Choose an expert](https://crowdlisten.com/capabilities), describe the desired output, and agree on source scope and budget. Ask the expert to quote before starting. See [hiring and running experts](/docs/experts).

For Muse, Grok Bot, or Instinct, the same setup prompt asks the assistant to check its supported integrations. If it cannot register a connection, use the website; local terminal commands are not a hosted-assistant integration.
